New Leadership Marks an Exciting Chapter for The Empire Brunei

Bringing extensive international experience in luxury hospitality, Mr. Myott will lead the resort's operations and continued development, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a culture of genuine, thoughtful service.
Mr. Myott brings a distinguished 31-year career with Hyatt Hotels, having held senior leadership positions across Australia and Asia. His appointments include Grand Hyatt Beijing in China, Grand Hyatt Incheon in South Korea, Hyatt Regency Hua Hin in Thailand and Hyatt Regency Kinabalu in Malaysia, alongside leadership roles at prestigious properties in Sydney, Perth, Canberra and Adelaide.
A graduate of the University of Adelaide, Mr. Myott began his career with Hyatt in 1994 at Park Hyatt Sydney, where he developed his passion for luxury hospitality. Over the years, he has established a strong reputation for operational excellence, developing high-performing teams and creating memorable guest experiences.
In his new role, Mr. Myott will focus on strengthening the resort's offerings across leisure, golf and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE). His leadership approach places particular emphasis on listening to colleagues, guests and business partners, supporting his team and fostering a collaborative environment where people feel trusted, valued and empowered.
